Graphic Design Intern

 
Dear HR Director
Giftedatplay.org is looking for a graphic design intern who will be in charge of developing and managing Gifted at Play, LLC graphic assets including company branding, marketing collateral and digital (website and social media) graphics. The graphic design intern will be instrumental in establishing Gifted at Play visual branding across the country.
 
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Creating all visual brand assets (including web, social media and other marketing collateral)
• Editing and updating existing graphics
Requirements: You must be:
A graphic design guru -- you must be an expert in all graphic design tools/programs and
passionate about representing Gifted at Play through these tools

  • Exceptional at adhering to deadlines

  • Very entrepreneurial; you naturally take initiative and thrive when given substantial responsibility

  • Creative and have a strong understanding of images and designs that resonate with parents and kids

  • Must be enrolled in a college design program.

  • Design and creation of various pieces of Publishing marketing including Print Ads and web marketing including, website banner units, social media campaigns, etc.  You will also work with PR teams on the creation of Presentations. 

  • Prospective intern should be a Major or Minor in Graphic Design / Visual Communication.

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class.

  • Strong understanding of basic design fundamentals and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience in Excel, After Effect and Flash a plus.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Resume must outline other internships, degrees earned, work experience, related clubs and organizations, current major course of study, expected graduation date and extracurricular activities.

  • Cover letter must include a personal introduction, and days/times available during internship period.

  • Preferred Junior or Senior-level standing (not required).

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
