Digital Media Design

A program that takes a blended approach of combining creative and web design. Develop skills to design a logical, intuitive and clear web interface that is visually pleasing and user-friendly. In Digital Media Design you learn the tools of the trade, how to layout pages, use color and text, integrate sound and video, and adapt and develop content for delivery on computers, mobile phones and the expanding realm of digital media devices.
  • Prepare for jobs such as web designer, web developer, online development specialist or interactive developer.
  • Courses are taught on line and in the Graphics Center.
  • Internship experiences provide technical, hands-on learning in real-world settings.
  • All students are required to participate in the Graphics Portfolio Review.
Digital Media Design is also an interdisciplinary program that offers degree in the Sciences combining coursework in computer graphics and within the Computer & Information Science program. The Digital Media Design program was designed for students who have an interest in computer graphics, animation, games, and the design of virtual reality environments  and interactive technologies.

Digital Media Design programs was created to educate a new generation of people to work in computer graphics; people who, through a combined education in computer science, art and communications, could collaborate effectively in teams through integrated knowledge and skills. 

Most Digital Media Design programs are encouraged to submit a portfolio. Ideally portfolios should be placed on a web page with a links. Portfolios should and can include drawings, paintings as well as any other work that highlights your talent. All forms of media should be welcomed.
